Green Beans with Bacon Balsamic Brown Sugar Glaze

 

Green Beans

Using fresh green beans snap ends off green beans then snap in two.

Add 1-2 cups water to pan, bring water to boil. Add green beans. Boil green beans till softer, but still have a little snap, then rinse them in cold water this keeps their color bright green.

 

Onion (diced)

Caramelize onion with black pepper olive oil.

 

Bacon (chop bacon about 1/2 inch long or bite size)

 

In the same pan as caramelized onion add chopped bacon, cook until almost done.

 

Then add 3-4 TBSP of Traditional balsamic & 2-3 TBSP of brown sugar cook until brown sugar is no longer grainy & bacon is throughly cooked. You may choose to add more black pepper olive oil to sauce mix.

 

Then pour entire bacon mix over green beans.
